How long will you keep my data for?
We handle your information responsibly and retain it only for as long as necessary. If you delete your account, we will retain your data for six years, in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
In certain cases, we may need to retain your data for shorter or longer periods, depending on specific legal obligations or the nature of the information. Once the retention period ends, your data is securely deleted.
📘Note:
💡
To follow laws, we might keep your information for over six years. Remember that retention periods could change based on business, legal, or regulatory needs.

If an email from Transak seems fishy, it might be a scam. Follow these steps:
Open a chat with us at Transak Customer Support. Attach a screenshot of the received email. Make sure the sender's email address is visible.

How can I make my account more secure?
Protecting your account is essential. Here are some key steps you can take to enhance your security:
Use a strong, unique password: Combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Avoid reusing passwords across multiple accounts and never share your password.
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA): Use a security key or a Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) app like Google Authenticator or Duo for an extra layer of protection.
Secure your email account: Turn on 2-step verification to prevent unauthorized access.
Keep your device secure: Regularly update your device and ensure it's free from viruses or malware.
Be cautious of phishing emails: Always verify the sender when you receive emails claiming to be from Transak or other service providers. If something feels suspicious, contact support immediately.
Be selective with software and apps: Only install apps and software from trusted sources. Make sure third-party applications are safe and compatible with your device.
I didn’t try to log in to Transak — why did I receive a one-time passcode (OTP) email?
Transak uses a one-time passcode (OTP) system as an added layer of security to confirm that login attempts are legitimate. When someone tries to access your account, we send an OTP to your registered email or through a push notification. This code must be entered within 15 minutes to complete the login.
If you received an OTP email but didn't try to log in, it may mean someone else attempted to access your account. However, this does not mean your account has been compromised. In fact, it indicates that our security systems are doing their job by blocking unauthorized access.
⚠️ Important: Never share your OTP with anyone. It is strictly confidential, and Transak will never ask for it. Sharing your OTP could give someone access to your account and put your funds and personal information at risk.
If you're concerned about the security of your account, we recommend changing your password and enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for added protection
